One of the members of the refracta team is experimenting with repackaging
stuff after removing the dependency on systemd libs. I think tornow
provided the link to these packages in another post on this thread. This
might be a viable option for some people, but it needs more testing than

Are you sure that systemd libraries are required to install the server
software that you want? I just tried 'aptitude -s install apache2 php5
mysql-server' on a jessie build with no systemd, dbus, libpulse0 or xorg,
and it didn't complain.
Here's an earlier iso I made of jessie with no systemd and
Refracta IS Debian, but since I'm not Debian, I can't call it that. It's
debian jessie with sysvinit instead of systemd. The jessie-based version
of refracta was created in the following manner -
Standard-system install of wheezy.
Pinned "*systemd*" to -1
dist-upgrade to jessie
added some packages
