1.3.1 font problem in X

Hello, I upgraded from 1.3.0 to 1.3.1 which was mostly an X upgrade to 3.3-3. Now, none of the upgraded and important (misc, 75dp1, and 100dpi I believe) font paths are recognized. I tried running mkfontdir in the individual direcories but it didn't help. I tried both the stock X server
