I've been reading the article on setting up an htdig index on NewsForge.
Everything seems to work just fine until I try and run the search
form. The page comes up but whenever I click on the search button I
get a download dialog because the htsearch is a "BIN file."

(particularly with X not being configured properly and KDE not

There is a problem: for some reason the startup scripts are in the
wrong sequence, so that the system attempts to configure the network
before the PCMCIA card manager, so that eth0 isn't found.
I can more or less get around this by manual
