Greetings all,
I'm posting a request to this list in regards to Lyx. I won't post the
specific problem as yet (as this is a Lyx problem, not necessarily
dependent on Debian).
But, is there a Lyx guru out there that would have 5 minutes or so to guide
a newbie through the jungle.
I've RTFM, both
Greetings,
I didn't receive a response to yesterday's query about ~killing~ ipmasq.
However, I imagine that my post was lost in the ruch of repeat messages sent

To sum up my previous post ...

Greetings all,
My recent difficulties with printer and mail setup have led to to the point
where I simply must express my thoughts on "RTFM".

Greetings Glyn,
I compared the exim.conf that you included (thanx muchly) to the one I have

My variables are correct for this system. I did notice mention of a

Although I'm sure my reasons are not unique, I thought I'd express them so
that perhaps they will explain my frustration at getting adequate mail

Previous to my current attempts, I (like many others) used mozilla and/or

Greetings,
After sending out my last posting on email problems, I thought of checking
my exim.conf. I hadn't done this before, as I understood that the process
was fetchmail -> procmail -> mutt. Maybe it isn't so.

No problem. I hoped that slogging through man's would serve a purpose other
than burning out my eyes. I'm almost tempted to write some version(s) in
~clear~ unambiguous language for newbies (like myself).
Glad my solution helped

Greetings,
Now that I have my printer running properly, I'm trying to tackle the
problem of mail delivery. I've installed fetchmail, procmail, and exim, but
I have yet to make them interact properly. For the moment I am using
~getmail~ (a fetchmail replacement) to poll my ISP and deliver my mail i
Greetings,
Well they say that those who try ... eventually will. Through a process of
elimination, I reasoned that my "server" (what I affectionately refer to as
my COMPUTER) was not accepting requests for printing. After pondering and
delving further into the "CUPS Software Administrator's Tool"
that error should read "server-error-service-unavailable". Still not finding
this error in the Docs.

The following excerpt from system logs has me puzzled. As you can see
Sendmail is attempting to verify my domain name from (what I assume is) a
DNS server. The truly puzzling thing is that I expressly ~unchose~ DNS
