can't detect device (savage S3 Savage4)

Hi again, OK, thanks to those who said i needed to install xserver-xfree86. :) i took the plunge into dselect, discovered the "/" key to search for packages, and now i think it's installed OK. And i know more than i did before about apt-get & dselect & Debian package installation management. Bu

no X server installed in Deb 3.0r0 :(
