I have 2 Debian systems, one with printer and the other used as a workstation. I
have used lpr/lpd for printing because I have struggled enough with CUPS, but
clearly not enough struggling to get it to work, and lpr/lpd just worked (once I
found the need for hosts.lpd).
Now that system is not work
I'm running sarge/GNOME. I'd like an ability to capture portions of a screen
(part of a window preferably). Is there something which will do that?
I am aware of the GNOME applet (but that doesn't seem to capture a window) and
of GIMP (which doesn't completely meet my needs either).

Thanks to all who replied - the solution has been found.
Perhaps I should have titled the request "Lilo boot from slave ..." because the
issue was not having the master drive present, but we want to boot from it when
it is present! Problem was in getting boot from slave drive when it is the first

Removable hard drive as primary controller master drive and internal hard drive
as primary slave. Intention is that if the removable drive (master) is not
present, system will boot from the slave - and it works well when Windows (98 or
2k or XP) is installed on slave.

I have a Debian gateway system, doing pppd demand dialling. ISP gives
a new IP address with each connect. No problems with that - it works
as advertised.
My problem is that once up, it often does not shut down even when there
has been no traffic from me for longer than the set time-out period.
