I have downloaded a Debian package: libforms0_89_0_89-6.deb under Windows (My
computer hosts both Linux/Debian2.2 and Windows and is equipped by a WinModem
not supported by Linux). When I try to install the package by dpkg -install, it
fails and I get the following messages:
dpkg-deb: file look
I used make install20 as indicated in the documentation.

Dear community,
I' ve a Sound Card: Turtle Beach Montego A3D 64 Voice PCI (with a DELL
computer). The Turtle Beach device drivers proposed by Debian 2.2 are for other
types of cards and don't work. Chipset is Aureal AU8820 and AC'97 Codec
according the documentation.
Perhaps someone can shed som
configuration and I was not given a second chance to run the
configuration even after removing and installing again the package.

managed to get a working installalion at the exception of the local
printer (HP Desk Jet 510 on parallel port). I didn't notice any question
during the installation process concerning the printer. I certainly
missed something b
