Also, when I build the package manually with apt-get source -b bind9,
the resulting package has the same behavior.

Hello all,
Is there a plan to un-break gnome2 in testing? Am I right that
there is currently no gnome-settings-daemon, or am I missing something? I
get the message that I guess everybody gets on login that the
gnome-settings-daemon couldn't be started (because there isn't one!
