I tried to set up an alias for shutdown -h now and worked fine. When I
rebooted it was gone. Is this a one time thing each session or can I save
my alaises to a file for all sessions?
Thanks
Paul

Can anyone help me?
I am about 10 seconds from going and buying a book with 1 CD in it. It may
have more, who knows, I'm tired of sitting here with my laptop laughing at me.
Peace
Paul

Someone brought me a disk with Debian 2.2 on it and the packages. My problem
is I have a laptop with CDROM and floppy interchangeable, but not resident
together. I also have part of a Debian shell on the laptop, no DOS
partition, etc., just Debian and a Swap partition.
When I go to the CDRO
What should I download from ftp.debian.org so I can start setting Debian up?
Peace
Paul

Hi, I'm really quite new at this. Just installed 2.0.4 of Debian on my
laptop, wiping out Windoze completely. :-)
I just have the basics as the person I got it from just gave me the basic
files, no packages, just the base system. Anyone have the whole set on CD?
Oh and I also have a problem.
