Blurry fonts in OpenOffice and qt4 appliations

Hi all, The fonts in OpenOffice and qt4(skype 1.4 beta) applications are blurry. Has anyone encountered the same problem? There is a thread on the Ubuntu mailing list, but it does not offer any solution. Any help is appreciated I am using Debian Etch with Gnome Regards -- Vasil Benov, Mobile

Hi, I have experienced the same problem. If you have a SATA harddrive you should specify root=/dev/sda1(or whatever device number and partition you boot from) On kenrel update the installer overwrites the values for (root=) nad puts there /dev/hd... Hope this helps Regards, Vasil On 3/18

mozilla-vlc plugin keeps crashing iceweasel

the browser running everything is fine. But as long as any of the above cases are met. The browser always crashes if i try to open a vlc stream for the second time. Problems with Debian Etch on MS-6390/VIA KM266
