from what I've been told, in Linux just because one has the JDK installed
does not mean that JRE is installed(I don't think that they're bundled in
the Linux version). If you want JRE then you have to install it. Yah I
know, weird...

I did an install of Stormix and chose kde as my default windowmanger. Then
I added:

to my sources.list. I added "apt-get update" and "apt-get install task-kde"
it pulled down all the packages. So now my question is this, how do I start
kde2? Everytime I typ
I actually got Debian installed! Woohoo!!! However, how do I disable
xdm so that I can log in from the console? Also I seem to be using
WindowMaker, how do I switch to Gnome(which I'm sure I installed. . .).
Thanks in advance.

So I installed Debian 2.2. Everything went well but after the installation
I'm at the prompt and I type in startx and I get:
Fatal Server Error:
Cannot open mouse (no such file or directory)
and I don't know what to do! Help!
I installed Potato last night, everything went great, but when I tried a startx
it crapped out on me saying that it could find my mouse (which is a PS/2). Can
somebody help?
Thanks in advance.
