te in Linux (it's not just Debian). All your software using serial devices should point to the ttyS[1-4] devices (your mouse, modem,...). The reason for the move to the new ttyS devices has something to do with device locking. Someone more knowledgable could expand on this. -- Todd Harp

On the subject of debian mailing lists...
