segmentation faults because one of the arrays isn't NULL terminated, but
I figure I should try to fix one thing at a time.

Hi all,
A long time ago, GNOME used to have an "other" menu or something similar
in the 'start menu' that had non-gnome applications in the list.
Sometime ago, this had dissapeared, and I'm wondering if there's a way
to get it back.
I'm running Debian
/dev/scd1 /dev/cdrecorder
Now, when I do:
cdrdao write image.cue
it appears to work.

accomplish this. As root, I typically do the following to burn a CD:
cdrdao write --device 0,3,0 image.cue
I'm running Debian unstable.

Hi all,
This is not a new problem in Debian/unstable, but I've not yet found a
working solution to get Straw working. When trying to load an article
using Straw, I get the following error:
LookupError: unknown encoding: en_US.ISO8859-1
Are there any workarounds?

what I do I cannot get the 'Spell check document..." menu option to
become enabled.

I gave up and manually modified the rules file to skip this step. The
package now builds, less a few man pages. T

I solved the problem. I used the stock kernel.org 2.4.17 kernel instead

When I type ctrl + s in xman, and type in a man page, such as 'ls', I
get a dialog box which states:
"Xman Warning: Something went wrong with retrieving the uncompressed
manual page try cleaning up /tmp [DISMISS]".
However, the page seems to load fine. Any ideas?

In my Slackware distribution, by default, when xboard was started, it
would allow you to play against the computer. How do I do this with

This is basically what I did, except using dselect. Not sure why it
fixed my problem though. Maybe I screwed up one of my config files the
first time around. Oh well, all is happy now, and I got LiVid to work
nicely so it's time to try out some DVDs. :-)
