Hello,
I use my computer as a workstation and thus I think it would be a good idea
to be able to switch it of as user without being root.
I had two ideas of making this possible. The one is to make it sudo-able and
the other is to put the executable into a special group (e.g. poweroffer)
and then

It is the /var/log/gdm/:0.log of a crashed session.
But it is 29kiB large, thus I won't put it onto this mailing list.

Hello,
I have a strange problem, for which today I figured out how to repeat.
Logging in over gdm into gnome-session and then starting mozilla and going
to a site which requires a login (e.g. www.sms.de) kills X and gives me a
new gdm login. Same happens with netscape, too.
Can anyone tell me how
Hello,
I am using testing with some packages from unstable and X4.1.0 with it's
freetype-font-library. Also I use gnome from this distribution with gdkxft
installed.
When I select the Gnome-AA Session in gdm, I get anti-aliased fonts, but a
lot of the fonts look exactly the same (kind of courier,
Hello,
after a long time using unstable I decided to buy a new harddrive and to a

Hello everybody,
I somewhat locked my computer for myself. I updated woody (as root) and
after this I logged out as root. Now I am not able to relogin anything to
this computer. What happened? How can I fix it?
When I try to login as root on a console, in /var/log/auth.log appears:

Hello everybody,
I am running the latest sid and I wanted to install zope and the
zope-emarket module. Just after installing Zope tells in the List of
products just after EMarket "Broken product EMarket". What do I have
to do to make this work.
It would be fine if somebody could help me, because
