Thanks for all your answers real nice of you all, after all I found out
that every 10 minutes or so will do it to keep my dsl-connection alive.

How do I create a crontab that run's #ping IP every 10 seconds?
Tried crontab -e
0,10,20,30,40,50 * * * */bin/ping -s 8 -c 1 www.sunet.se 1>
/dev/null 2> /dev/null
But it doesn't seem to work.
