the Konqueror page and they have a FAQ stating that unchecking the setting

It works great under Firefox, but I can't seem to get Konqueror to recognize
the java plugin. I went to configuration and rescanned plugins, but the

Is there something in the KDE menus that the file association needs to work?

I've gotten MPlayer to play some sites (mostly quicktime) in Firefox. My
preferred browser is Konqueror so I went to plugins in Konqueror
configuration and rescanned to get the Mplayer plugin.

I'm trying to set my machine up for viewing video over the web. I read that
one of the best options is to use mplayer. I found a web site with debs
for mplayer and I installed it along with various windows codecs and a
quicktime codec.
It plays fine from the command prompt and from the GUI. But

I have an NTFS drive that I mount as ReadOnly. I have found that when I use
Konqueor to browse the drive and then exit Konqueor, I am not allowed to
unmount the drive. I get the error "device is busy".
I close all apps, but I can't find a way to be allowed to unmount the drive.
This seems to on

The apps I use based on either GTK or Gnome start up with very small fonts.
The apps I'm using are FireFox, The Gimp and gVIM. I read in another
message that running gnome-settings-daemon solves the problem. And it did.
My questions are:
1) Where should I put the call so it executes when I log
You can do either of the following to run:
/usr/local/netscape/netscape
or
cd /usr/local/netscape
./netscape
You can also add /usr/local/netscape to your path and then type:
netscape
from anywhere.

Hi,
I'm looking for opinions. I currently use Debian 2.0 (Hamm, Kernel 2.0.34).
Everything I need works fine except my zip drive. It works, but I can't use
the printer while it's connected. Disconnecting one to use the other is a
pain. I know I can use a 2nd lpt port, but I figure compiling a

Netscape needs:
xlib6
libg++27
xpm4.7
motifnls
to run. I think xlib6 might be your problem.

What kind of 56k modem do you have (v90, X2, or Flex)? Which does your ISP
support?
I can tell I'm connected by using plog. The last line (when I'm finally
connected) is my IP address.

Hi,
I've rebuilt the kernel (using Debian v2). I created a deb using
make-kpkg --zImage kernel_image
and installed the new kernel using dpkg -i.
I rebooted the machine and everything works fine. later, I decided to install
another package from the main distribution CD. I ran dselec
