Whenever I use apt-get install or use apt method in dselect,
I get the following error after the files are downloaded:

I'm running a pure potato box, using lprng and a2ps. My printer is a
Brother M-1824L dot-matrix using Epson emulation. I've selected the
Epsom driver from apsfilterconfig.
The problem is that printed output runs over the page length. I'm

I thought my way out of this one. Simply downloaded the debs into /tmp, and
copied the archived /etc/init.d files into my /etc/init.d, and all is well.

Well, just because I was suspicious, I reinstalled smail and purged exim's
configs. Fetchmail worked. Then I reinstalled exim (but lef
emember).
I checked /var/spool/mail and all folders are either root/mail or srgore/mail
with rwx rw rw.
