blem has persisted for a while. It
doesn't bother me too much as I have learned to use Alt-F2 to start my
applications.
I tried moving my .gnome* files out of the way as suggested in another
response, but the problem is still there.

I run sid and I have a weird font problem after upgrading to Xorg 7. I
have changed the font paths in my xorg.conf file and most of the
applications I use (primarily Gnome-based) have no problems but xbuffy
and emacs-snapshot show rectangular boxes instead of spaces. Funnily

i want to add some other locales like en_US to it so that i can see
some of the special characters that are in emails on this list. i've

dpkg-reconfigure locales
to try to generate
how do i add a truetype font to defoma? i downloaded a set of ttf
files and since i'm using defoma, i want to configure it add these new
