I can't get Xfree86 4.0.3 to work on my Compaq Presario 5820
It has a Voodoo3 3000 card and a ViewSonic E655 monitior.
Whenever I try to start X it always "clicks" in with a screen with a
bunch of horizontial pick stripes then "clicks" out with this error on
the command line.

While installing Debian 2.2r2 on my Compaq Presario 5280. But it does not
seem to detect ethernet.
I gives a huge list of drivers to pick from but of course I have no idea
which to choose.
In Windows it says I has a Intel 21143/2 based 10/100mbps Ethernet
Controller.
Also I installed Red Hat 7.1
