And I do not intend to install another distro (morphix etc) in my box just in order to
get m

deb http://ftp.acc.umu.se/mirror/mirrors.evilgeniuses.org.uk/debian/backports/woody
gnome2.2/
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian stable main contrib non-free
deb http:
p gcc -a" shows that gcc has ben installed.
gcc 2:2.95.4-17 install ok installed
gcc 2:2.95.4-14 stable
No testing version
gcc 2:2.95.4-17 newer than version in archive
Could somene tell me where my gcc is?
Fyi, use knoppix, a debian installer.

I would like to try kile (LaTeX source editor frontend).
Does any of you have experience with it: is it comparable with lyx?
Is its deb version available?

Hi,
Perhaps you could take a look at this one too: icewm, here: http://www.icewm.org/
It's fast and beautiful. A quick note: GNOME compliance, partial KDE compliance

Hi all,
Currently I prefer using icewm due to its speed.
A problem arises when I run a kde-based program such as kate or konqueror.
The message is :"Could not start process. Can't talk to klauncher".
What does it mean and how to fix this problem?

Hi all,
Thanks David, for guiding me to the solution.
After installing gtk-theme-switch, then run switch, select preferred theme.

Hi all,
My evolution 1.0.5 works extremely slowly. I run it mostly under KDE
3.0.3, woody. Is it usual?
I tend to move to kmail *again*, but the evolution's visual appearance
and it features such as news summary and weather make me reluctant to
leave it soon.
Any suggestions?
