Debian Installation - NIC problems

I am new to Linux and have installed Debian 2.1 (Slink) onto a HP Vectra 486/66.  I have a 3COM 3C900 Combo ethernet card installed in my computer.  I use a DSL connection at home to access the internet and have it usually setup for DHCP (in Windows).   I don't think I have the correct driver
