I know that this question its already in the Debian FAQ, but to me as a non
native speaker its a little hard to imagine the exact pronunciation.

Now I have successfuly configured an IP Masquerading linux gateway, of
course with the 192.168.0.1 IP. I know its working correctly because I
have a windows machine as client getting the Internet from this linux
gateway.

I edit the "etc/network/interfaces" file of course with the help of "man
interfaces" thanks Noah!
I have been trying with etherconf, even before I ask for help but didn't

I want to change the IP address of two woody machines to 192.168.1.x and I changed the /etc/hosts file but I notice that the machines still respond to their old IP adresses. Well I know this by using the ping command.
