menu

2001-09-15 Thread Roger Keays
Hi, Does anybody know how to use the menu package to remove complete subtrees from the menu? Also, I've had some strange outputs from editting /etc/menu-methods/translate_menus... substitute section->section Apps/Math Apps/Trash endtranslate Update-menus[3592]: key=Apps/Math match=Apps/Math

update-menus

2001-09-10 Thread Roger Keays
Hi, Is there a way to tell update-menus to ignore a whole subtree of the menu? Perhaps by changing translate_menus? translate_menus seems to do some strange things. For example: substitute section->section Apps/Math Apps/Trash endtranslate But the text is never substituted! Update-menu

automount and samba

2001-09-08 Thread Roger Keays
Hello everyone, I have a remote samba fs mounted using automount, however when I reset this machine (as you often need to do with windows boxes!) I have to manually umount it before it can be used again. Is this usually a cron job? Am I just being impatient? Thanks in advance Roger

X environment variables

2001-08-21 Thread Roger Keays
