First: Why cant you set the printer to apply your local network. Just set some
computer in the local network with static addres 192.168.2.x, connect to
printer administration console and set it up.
Second: If it cannot be set. Try to extend your current mask with another two
bits => 255.255
Dou you have these missing files?? these are some scripts from the dell
updater. Are they executable? Becouse this seems like the binfile filed to
extract correctly.

I dont remember problems like this. I did that year ago. I just downloaded the
bin file from dell suppo
I updated dell poweredge bios once and I think I used
procmail

Is this only for nfs? Try copy some file with scp and compare the speed (it
should be slower than nfs). Because this may not be nfs problem.

Did you consider using aptitude as your main package manager?? It will solve
these problems easily. I just hold packages that I need to be hold and
aptitude works great.
I dont understand why so many people today use pure apt-get for everyday
package management.

I suggest you try look at splix package and its supported printers. I own
older Xerox Phaser 3122 (black laserjet) and it is much same as some other
Samsung that has support in splix. Look also in /var/log/cups/error_log and
post it. Check if you have all the foomatic stuff (foomatic-filters, fo
