I'm using the /etc/apt/preferences file and I'm now
able to keep my woody installation without having
dselect constantly want to uninstall my KDE2.2 and
Koffice.
However, I'm still having troubles with dselect. Even

I just finished (I hope) setting up debian on my home
desktop. I've been using Mandrake for quite some time
now, but got exposed to Debian when I switched my IPAQ
to Linux, and I thought I'd give it a try.
I set up a basic potato system, then tried to upgrade
