upgrading debian

How do you access your floppy drive?

Hi, I'm using Woody Debian Linux And I dont have the GUI installed. I was wondering how you access your floppy drive from the command line Also, How do you install the GUI? Any responses to either of these questions as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Reena Mahb
