I'm running an rsync server here (rsync in deamon (inetd) mode). Everytime i
connect with a client it creates a filelist. My Rsync server is an older
machine so this process takes a major part of the whole transmission time. Is
there a way to get the server to store the filelist in a kind of a

The disadvantage about this approach is that if i loose the "shell" script i
wont be able to log into my system without tweaking with a second system...

For now i allways do full backups. Is tar able to treat only changed files?

driver assigns allways both the DVD und the RW. I want only the burner
