t was NNTP, but sadly there are not many places where it is still
used. Web and e-mail approach is for more "handicaped" users, and as the
exampes shows, there are many of them. Otherwise the trend would be to
stick to NNTP and not to move to no powerfull solutions.

After upgrading to Stretch I have problem with the brightness of my LCD
screen in laptop. After a reboot of the system I get 100% brightness,
even if I set it up to like 50%. Where can I change this so the

About 2 weeks ago I bought a FSC Amilo Pro V3505 laptop. Last Wednesday I tried
to install on it Debian from network (using Netinstal CD). However my Network
card wasn't detected and installation failed. After message that no card has

qt3 *and* kde-dev which can not be installed together according to dselect. all

pppd removes g+w from /dev/ttyS1 after it is started. So next time I have
to be root to use my modem (and to connect to internet). How to make pppd
stop removing it ?

I wonder why debian have man without -K option (searching
through body of manpage, not only title), unlike RH or Suse
