Look if the mentioned file is in the directory you unpacked
the pseudo-image kit in (it should be). All the files should be
in
a PS/2 mouse (or anything

Wit a ps/2 mouse you should also set the protocol to "ps/2"
in the Pointer section (next tot /dev/psaux).
