The temporarily solution is to "downgrade" from xserver-xorg-core version
2:1.1.1-21etch2 to 2:1.1.1-21etch1 and wait until the problem is solved.

can use lm-sensors *or* mbmon. If mbmon does not work, disable it in
the gkrellm configuration dialog. The lm-sensors settings can be adjusted
in /etc/sensors.conf (if needed).
