HP 880c printer now running nicely using APS Filter and ghostscript.
However I would like to be able to change some of the printers behavures
in the /etc/apsfilterrc but when I make changes to this file and save
them it has no effect. What am I doing wrong?

I would like to have my debian 2.1 slink box configured so that if the
phone rings x times then hangs up and then rings back again within a
specified period of time the modem will answer and alow me to log in
remotly. I have look in /etc/ for some kind of getty config file but

when trying to boot with it the kernel uncompreses, gives the message
booting kernel and then stops. My machine is a cyrex 686 200. Does the
binary only work for intell chips? I noticed that specific suport for
non intell chips is a feature of 2.2.0. I guess this means

I am thinking of upgrading my current s3 trio 1 mg video card to sothing
a bit nicer (Feed up with "unable to alocate default background"
messages) and was wondering if anyone had any recomendations for cards
which "run well under Debian" 2D/3D might be nice??
Any thoughts?
