Since updating Squeeze yesterday evening, LXDE has these features.
* Approximately the rightmost 1/3 of the display is inaccessable
to the mouse pointer.
* Panel icons get no response.
* The desktop menu is absent.

Squeeze is recently updated.
Using /etc/network/interfaces, a Linksys USB200M
works as expected.
To use wicd, the instructions in
http://wiki.debian.org/WiFi/HowToUse#OtherGUI
were followed; yet the connection failed.
After "/etc/init.d/wicd restart" these lines appear

Last week I installed Lenny on an IBM ThinkPad 240X.
After "Log Out" from X using the xfsm-shutdown-helper
the screen is black. Appears that the console is left
in a bad configuration.
There is no obviously pertinent complaint in dmesg,
in syslog or in Xorg.0.log.old.
Any ideas?
