if You using a HP You have to connect the scanner, first time You need
to connect via usb calbe, however,
after the scanner is recognized You can remove the cable and the scanner
is also usable over network...
This works for me, maybe for You too?.

little "cooler".
I switched using the 'task-gnome' selection, and i wonder if there is no
need to install 'gnome-panel'.

plug in my audio-stereo to the line-in SB

mix the input-pegel with `xmixer'
record the audio-data with `sound-recorder'
