I'm using Debian Testing, and it's been working for about the last eight
months w/o too much issue. I have a sudden problem now though, that
being that I can open Evolution and see the summary, calendar, and task
pages, but nothing with an email in it (drafts/sent/trash/inbox/etc.).

I installed debian testing in mid febuary, and everything was working
fine. The onboard ethernet and sound for my nforce2 board (shuttle xpc)
were detected, and worked.
Yesterday though I ran 'apt-get update' and 'apt-get upgrade', and after

Back again so soon?
Hello all,
I've been trying (and still am) to compile a 2.4.20 kernel with alsa modules

tried the Debian way and the old fashioned way and I'm nearly there but not
quite - I now have a 2.4.
Thanks to all who helped earlier.
I've now found that I may be able to get sound using a kernel 2.5.11 or above
(http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/linux/audio.htm), is there a specific
version that anyone could recommend?
Also I've only ever used kernel sources supplied with the distribution
Hello all
Trying this one yet again - I suppose I may just have to
buy another soundcard, recommendations anyone?
BTW sndconfig tells me the card isn't supported.

Hello all
My new PC has a built in soundcard and despite a lot of RTFMing and

The motherboard manual says:
"Integrated Audio Controller in Intel 82801DB I/O Controller Hub (ICH4)"
"AD 1981A/Realtek ALC202A Audio Codec '97"
