Hello All,
Why does my hardware clock go slow after every
time I run Linux?
Evidently Debian resets the hardware clock to
the system clock
every time it shuts down. How ever the system loads
the time from
the hard ware
ly. I regularly update the sid
version that I am using.

Hello
I am using Debian sid. I had also installed some packages and libraries
from original tar balls also. Now I think there are conflicts between some
installed libraries.
Is there any utility or option for dpkg which lists
libraries/executables
which are not installed by dpkg?

, but can windows boot from something other than than
the first partition of the first hard drive?

So, anyone with experience using apt-cacher, or better yet, both
apt-cacher and apt-proxy? I would appreciate hearing other people's
thoughts and experiences.
I have been using apt-cacher for quite some time now and find
it quite good.sorry no experience with apt-proxy

Would some one guide me regarding the following error:
Inconsistency detected by ld.so: ../sysdeps/i386/dl-machine.h: 647:
elf_machine_rel_relative: Assertion (((reloc->r_info) & 0xff) == 8) failed!
The above occurred on my intel celeron 1.2GHz, debian sid system
with i810 mother board
wever I am
still unable to use kde or kdm. Other graphics progrms like gnome and
gdm are working perfectly.
Looks like some conflicting package is installed on the system. How
do I find out which?
Thanks
