debianl alternatives for default mail client

Hi all. Is in debian standard "alternatives" for a default x mail client, such as x-www-browser is for a default web browser. I does use other then Gnome or KDE windows managers and I am looking for Debian way to configure this. -- Olleg Samoylov smime.p7s Description: S/MIME Cry
