Actually, /usr/bin/[ is the same as /usr/bin/test (they are
hardlinked). And, in my
opinion, they are not junk. Yes, bash has them built in, but some other
shells may
have not.

Maybe this happens because of rmail that invokes sendmail with -odq
to explicitly specify queue delivery mode?
