rary at runtime with you add the ssl stuff in your muttrc
I grabbed the mutt package from unstable and thats linked against
gnutls3 (which I also grabbed from unstable). This build works,
but the testing version does not.

e this package from the
standard debian package, like:
* Package: mutt-ssl
Status: install ok installed
Priority: standard
Section: non-US
Installed-Size: 3376
* Maintainer: Nick Jennings <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
* Version: 1.3.27-2_ssl
? Replaces: mutt-i
Provides: mail-reader
? Depends: li
t easier than
learning how to do all this the "debian" way I think. :)
And building a kernel package seems to have been streamlined to avoid
problems. It's even harder to build a userspace package I think. :)

nto a kernel package?
patch kernel && 'make menuconfig' to customize kernel configuration.
gateway:/usr/src/linux# make-kpkg --revision=gateway.1 --initrd buildpackage

when I am programming, I make use of this feature. How can
I selectively turn this feature on and off?
BTW - I am not subscribed to debian-user due to the high traffic, so
please CC me in the response. Thanks.

this new system would actually do the work as well.
It could get very complex though, every system setup is very different,
and therefore things configured within that system vary.

;t want it to start up by
default, try this:
# update-rc.d -f xdm remove
This will stop xdm from loading in all runlevels.

files into /var/lib/dpkg/, or is it /var/cache? I
forget).
Anyways, to cut myself off, can anyone explain this to me?
