I'm making slow progress setting up a Debian system on an M800LMR motherboard with onboard sound. The mobo documentation identifies the Linux driver module as cmpci. This loads happily and finds sound hardware, but can't write to it - as seen in this output from dmesg: ... cmpci: version v2.41-nom
