You should install the cupsys-bsd package, then cups will print with the lp
or lpr commands.

I run debian testing and I was looking under the obsolete and locally created
packages in aptitude, and it appears that a lot of packages I use have been
obsoleted. These include kdebase, all the X packages, and a few others. So i

I typed apt-get install kdebase to see if there were debian packages for
it. Here's the message I got:

Once a day, I hear my hard drive making a lot of noise, so i ran top and
discovered it was find running. What is its purpose and how can

Has anyone gotten sane-1.0.1 to work with debian woody? It can't find my
scanner which was /dev/sg0 on slackware. In fact, no sg devices exist in
/dev. Any ideas?
