Hi, anytime I try to unmount a usb pendrive, I get the following
message:
"Device to unmount is not in /media.hal-mtab so it is not mounted by
HAL"
and thus it does not unmount properly. Any help? Thanks a lot...

That happened to me once using an etch install CD... The same problem
you described; I think is a bug with the installer because the problem
went away when I tried to install a testing distribution.

Hi, I want to remove a network place I made using the network manager of
gnome (network-admin). The problem is that when I try to remove it using
the same tool it takes LONG. Where is the "network places" configuration
saved? To just edit by hand... thanks in advance.

have the 686 version on a Pentium IV HT machine... The freeze is total
(well, most of the times) and I have to boot again... after reverting to
2.6.18-4 all went well again...
