I came up with a work around that results in Debian booting with a cursor.
I set default=dos in lilo.conf, while in dos turn on the cursor, boot with
loadlin and I now have a cursor. :) Later I'll dig out a dos manual and
set up my config.sys to boot Debian as default and leave a couple seconds
nder Linux because the system is in protected mode.
> Can you tell me exactly what you type into "debug"?
MOV CX, 0707
MOV AH, 01
INT 10
INT 20
Nothing complex to do in dos but I haven't found my starting place yet
when it comes to Linux. If you can recommend a startin
, I guess.
I think you guys are doing a great job! It's incredible being able to dl
Debian and get it running so easily.
Thanks for your help in getting through the initial confusion.

Trouble? e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
The cursor also stays gone when I
have LILO boot dos and I have to run an utility to reset the cursor.
Is there a doc that tells how to handle this? I am a "newbie" to Linux
and Unix and will appreciate the help.
Thanks,
Michael
