I cannot start up X windows after using the startx command. It looks like X windows is going to start but then it stops soon after starting up. I am not sure if there is some place to look for error messages. I assume that I didn't entered something incorrectly when I ran XF86Config but I am not

I installed the debian Linux onto my PC but it did not create a device file for my mouse. How would I create a device file for my mouse? I have a IMSI mouse-PS/2 mouse.
