My digital camera can create short movies which are in AVI file format
and use the Motion JPEG codec. I have several programs that can play
them; that's no problem.
I have two questions:
1. What's the best file format and codec such that people using
Windows, Mac, and Unix can view the vide

I finally got my new machine and armed with the advice of many people
on this list, I aimed to install stable and upgrade to testing. The

I'm been using Mandrake for the past couple of years, and now I'm
considering switching to Debian; but, I have some concerns. I
consider myself a fairly experienced Linux user and use Linux for all
my computing needs (devel, digital camera stuff, laptop stuff ,text
processing, networking, etc.).
