The libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2_2.95.4-14 package contains a broken
libstdc++ library. To work around the problem, provide the missing
library by a smbolic link. Execute as root:
ln -sf libstdc++-3libc6.2-2-2.10.0.so /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3
A fixed package can be found at:

Debian does not provide a glibc-2.0, which is installable on potato.
What about Oracle 8.1.6, is it compiled for glibc-2.1?

There is still no Push-Primary mirror in Germany... what do you need
for such a mirror? Or is such a mirro

have a look at http://swt.cs.tu-berlin.de/~doko/aic7xxx/ for Debian boot
disks that support the 7890.

I finally could install a Debian 2.0 Linux system on an ASUS P2B-DS
board (UltraWide disk). I rebuilt the Debian boot disk with support
for the 7890 chip. You can find them in
http://cs.tu-berlin.de/~doko/aic7xxx/
Have fun, but remember the driver has alpha status ...
