works with Mac OS, though). Debian asks for the password, and then
the network connection idles forever. Any ideas or hints?

Dear all
I installed Debian Etch on a Dell D800 laptop. There's another partition
with Windows (an some of my files) on it. How can I mount this partition?
I tried the following so far:
- sudo apt-get install ntfsprogs
- sudo mkdir /mnt/windows
- sudo ntfsmount /dev/hda1 /mnt/windows -o fmask=011

What would this look like? Two 'Modes' lines? Or one line with two
entries? How are they separated (space, comma, whatever)?
and to use Control-Alt-Plus to switch between the modes.

moving the cursor with the touchpad of my PowerBook G4 is very slow in
Debian Etch. I played around with the settings in xorg.conf, and that
helped a bit, but it's still rather slow. I mainly played with
'AccelFactor' (I used values 0.001, 0.01, 0.1, 1, and 10) and
'HorizScrollDelta'

Dear all
I've got a laptop (Apple PowerBook G4) that I use both at home and on
the road (with Debian Etch installed). At home, the laptop is connected
to an external screen, with the laptop closed (so, at home, I don't use
the laptops own screen). The two screens have different resolutions

Dear all
After my success with Debian Etch on a PowerBook-G4 I tried installing
Debian on a second PowerBook-G4, which is basically identical to my
'first' machine. However, with the second PowerBook, changes in

I successfully installed Debian 4.0 /

in Mac OS X I press 'Option-g' to type an '@', but that does not work in
Linux / Debian. Any hints?
