I have a 1gig IDE hard drive in my Intel/Debian Linux machine. The machine
is up all the time, and up until now, I've had no problems with it.
Recently, the hard drive has starting making a weird "ping" noise that
I know I've never heard before. These ping's are very infrequent, but

I found Adobe's beta3 of their Acrobat viewer, but they claim it is only
for the yggdrasiL (sp?) distribution... Has anyone got this setup under
Debain (packaged or not) and can explain how to do it?

After installing debian recently, I've started getting messages from
the cron processes that it cannot find the 'savelog' command. I looked
for it on my system and cannot find it. Anyone know which package this
belongs to?

I'm having problems getting pages to come out of my
printer correctly. The symptoms:
1) Small text files don't print. The printer heads move
around a bit (as bubblejets like to do) but never gets
to printing.
2) Larger files (text/postscript) will print, but usually

I very much appreciate the service that this mailing list provides. Although
I am usually quiet here, the suggestions made by/for other persons is very
helpful in fixing my own problems.
