My X crashes quite often. It happens usually after I run netscape
communicator but I am not so sure that it's caused by that. Nothing
special is running usually, just few Xterms and when I try to switch
screens it just crashes and exits to bash prompt. I use afterstep window

so I finally fixed it up. After I installed few libraries from oldlibs
section of hamm distribution it began to work. I didn't know it was
possible to install xpm4.7 when having libc6.

I installed Netscape Communicator 4.04 on my debian 1.3.1 updated to
libc6 and it just writes that it cannot load libXpm.so.4
I have installed xpm4g_3.4j-0.6.deb and the library file is there in
/usr/X11R6/lib.
what might be the problem?

what is the fastest way to update from libc5 to libc6? Many packages are
dependent on these libraries and I have no debian CD, everything I do I
use ftp or www. It would be enough if I could get all the packages I
need to update everything I guess. But I cannot see other way of doing

I've got debian 1.3 distribution and I just cannot make latex2html work.
It doesn't covert equations to gif files correctly, gifs remail of zero
length. Here's the part of output from latex2html:

I have AE-360PCI network adapter and just cannot make my network work.
Have anyone any ideas what should I do to succeed? AE-360PCI should be
compatible with NE2000 but the config says it doesn't find any adapter
of that type.
