Yeah, that is really annoying. I can give you a work around and although
it works, it is also annoying:
1) Enable auto-hide for each panel
2) Go to the Configuration Editor->apps->panel->bottom_panel_screen0 and
set the auto_hide_size to zero manually. Do the same for
top_panel_screen0.

Folks,
I recently upgraded my testing boxes against the repository. For three
boxes, everything is fine. For one box, the Xserver (xorg) crashes for
Gnome (and only gnome, other window manager settings on the gdm session
menu work fine [well I don't know about kdm since it's not installed]).

Hi,
I'm running sarge and have:
ftp://ftp.nerim.net/debian-marillat/ sarge main
with mplayer and plugger installed. When I launch the cnn video window,
mplayer doesn't run. plugger does launch the process, e.g. from ps:
plugger-5.1.3 24832,1,41,52428840,0,0,468,297 mplayer -quiet -cache 8192
Folks,
I made a new variant to support the "extra" keys on IBM T41p laptop. I
made these changes directly to /etc/X11/xkb/symbols/pc/us in a new stanza
called "t41p" and added it to my XF86Config-4 file as XkbVariant "t41p".
This works fine!
My question is: what is the correct approach to adding
Hello all. I've got spammers sending mail to 'bin', 'games', etc.
I'm running 'testing' and sendmail. I tried adding:
bin@REJECT
games@ REJECT
to access.db in the usual way but this doesn't seem to work. Any
ideas?

I'd like to use gnuplot's 'enhanced' font mode for png or jpeg which
requires a ttf symbol font.
Does anyone know how to install symbol.ttf using defoma? (Or better
yet, perhaps it's already in some package?)
Thanks!

I get:

Folks,
I followed the instructions in
/usr/share/doc/mozilla-browser/README.Debian on intalling the 1.4 java
plugin but whenever I attempt to do anything in java, even bring up the
java console, mozilla crashes. The I tried this on different two boxes

Folks,
After upgrading a machine to 1.3.1 from 1.2, the
X11 mouse does not respond but moves rapidly to
the upper left corner and can only be moved around
the upper edge of the screen.
I did not change the XF86Config file after the
upgrade. The old/initial pointing device was
