I've got three workstations using different Nvidia GPU. I upgraded them
from Debian 11.6 to Debian 12:
* The first one is a Geforce GT520 (Fermi) so I used the package
*nvidia-graphics-drivers-legacy-390xx* and it works like a charm.
* The second one is a Geforce 1050 Ti (Pascal) s

The Sarge installer's partitioner won't allow me to select partition
settings, either "Use as:" or "Bootable flag:." Spacebar should toggle
through the selections, right? The current setting on the partition that
I need to use are "Use as: Do not use" (should be /) and "Bootable flag:
out what the problem is. I've
tried uninstalling the packages and reinstalling the ones from the Debian site, but
that didn't help. Somehow the more I try out ideas I find by googling, the more I seem
to break things :-((

You should use a dos-running utility called FIPS, it's use is to resize
your partition space on a partitionned drive, you *MUST* however, defrag
the partition prior to doing this.
You should find it on your CD or on the NET.
